Why did we choose to build our blend this way?
From the very beginning, we knew that as a micro roastery with a clear point of view, we needed a seasonal blend that could genuinely express who we are. Rather than creating a blend out of convenience, we wanted one that carried our identity and philosophy in every cup.

In the early stages, we spent a long time thinking about roast level, roasting direction, and which green coffees should come together. Instead of leaning toward a darker roasted espresso, we chose a different path. We wanted a coffee with greater versatility, one that preserved the character of each origin and could be enjoyed in more than one way.
That naturally led us to the style of coffee we love most. Delicate, vibrant, and expressive. The clean aromatics and sweetness of washed Ethiopian coffee meet the structure, body, and distinctive character of washed Colombian coffee. Together, they create a cup we believe feels complete and intentional.
As an espresso, the profile is clearly fruity, led by bright citrus notes reminiscent of tangerine. It carries a pleasant sweetness and finishes clean, leaving a refreshing aftertaste.
But for us, a blend is never just about espresso. We believe it should also shine as a filter and as a milk coffee. That belief pushed us to test and refine this coffee further.

As a filter, it almost feels like drinking a single origin. Compared to a straightforward single, however, it offers more complexity and a better sense of balance. With milk, especially when brewed according to the recipe and ratio we provide, the experience shifts. Freshly baked bread, a soft buttery texture, and gentle floral notes fill the palate. It is comforting without being heavy, and we believe it challenges the usual expectations people have of milk coffee.

To present a coffee like this, a great deal of thought and roasting went into every detail. Compared to our single origins, this blend is roasted to a drop temperature approximately one to two degrees higher, with a clear focus on enhancing sweetness and overall harmony.
Our current seasonal blend is composed of 80 percent washed Ethiopian coffee and 20 percent washed Colombian coffee. As a seasonal blend, however, it will continue to evolve with the seasons. We invite you to follow along as it changes.
This is the direction Peninsula Coffee stands for.
