ABOUT GERSI
Gersi is a renowned micro-region within Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe, located at elevations of 1,900–2,200 meters. Around 500 smallholder farmers deliver their ripe cherries to the Testi Adorsi washing station, where they are carefully processed using traditional methods and dried on raised beds.
The coffee is composed of Ethiopian heirloom varieties, including the prized Kurume, known for its small bean size and exceptional sweetness. Thanks to the high altitude and cool climate, cherries mature slowly, producing dense beans with remarkable clarity and complexity.
Cup profiles from Gersi are celebrated for their floral and fruit-forward notes — often showing blueberry, melon, plum, honey, and delicate herbal tones. This unique expression has made Gersi one of the most distinguished origins in Yirgacheffe.
We are the proud distributor of Cobeans in South Australia.
