ABOUT DANCHE KEBELE

Danche Kebele is located near the town of Worka in the Gedeb district, at an altitude of around 2,100 meters above sea level. It is the largest coffee-producing area in Gedeb, with a total of 1,240 hectares of coffee farms. The washing station sources cherries from over 250 farmers, with farm sizes ranging from 0.5 to 5 hectares.

The farms lie between 1,925 and 2,110 meters in elevation. Thanks to the close proximity of the farms to the washing station, no farmer needs to travel more than 40 minutes to deliver their cherries.

At the station, meticulous processes are applied — rigorous cherry selection, mechanical pulping, controlled fermentation, thorough washing, and careful drying on African raised beds. These careful steps help preserve the exceptional quality and unique characteristics of Arabica coffee, while showcasing the renowned terroir of the Gedeb region.

The result is a clean, structured cup that represents the complexity and elegance of some of the finest Ethiopian coffees.
